Done!

All I have are blurry pictures of my wedding! The pictures done by the professionals are not up til next week. I’ll post all of them as soon as I have the copies..

Anyway, I honestly don’t know how well it went. All I know is that it’s over and I’m missing the times when both J and I were so busy. I knew this’ll come so I’m alittle prepared for it. J, however, had no idea about this post-wedding depression so I can’t blame him for getting nostalgic and sad about it

Bachelorette Party

Last Friday, my sis threw the wackiest party for me…a bridal shower!! All our childhood friends were there. I can’t remember the last time I laughed as much as last Friday’s! And ate as much! It was a good feeling..I hope marriage would feel like that, too.

Promising Fun Night

I can’t believe it’s March 6 already! Big sis came home last Monday..after almost 5 years, I got to see that face again Didn’t know it would only take for me to get married to get her down here! She’ll be throwing a shower party for me tomorrow..the whole gang from childhood will be there. Uhmm..sounds fun. I’ll know tomorrow night Can’t wait to open those two shiny boxes she’s said will make J drool…haha.  

Fed Up

I have been teaching for 3 years now–2 years in a regular school and in a special education school since last year. And since I started teaching, I’ve been studying for my masters too. Three years of simultaneously doing lesson plans and writing term papers, reports, critiques, case studies, IEPs and never-ending proposals. And I’m tired.

Since last week, I’ve been preparing for my demo lesson this Wednesday. I’ve been meaning to write my lesson plan. And I’ve  been planning to do the best lesson plan ever!

The thing is, I need to write a seminar paper for my other class. A seminar paper that I’ve already been working on for the past 2 months! And on top of all these, I need to plan for my wedding which is only a few weeks away! My sister and relatives are coming for the wedding and I need to think of a place for them to stay.

I hardly have time to write my lesson plan

I really want to teach. I like the way the kids’ faces would lit up every time I do something “cool” for them. But because I have always been busy with my MA, I know that for three years now, I’ve been failing as a teacher. I know I can do more; I know my lesson plans could have been better and I know there’s something more I can teach them!

I’m really, really looking forward to next school year. God willing, next year would be the first time in my teaching career that my MA wouldn’t come in the way (I’m a thesis away but a better work opportunity forces me to file a leave of absence from school). I’m married next school year, too. So that would leave only a hubby and students to keep me busy. I like that. I would love that!

I’m looking forward to concentrating on teaching. J would be home each night (I hope!) so there’s no need for me to worry about him this much anymore.

I want so much to surf the net, read blogs, read cool teaching sites, hang out with friends without deadlines bothering me, learn to cook, finish my photo albums, watch movies…haaaaayy!

Word Amnesia

The word “wife” is still not sinking into my head. You are not going to find a single trace of this word in my face haha. This little bling-bling on my left ring finger is the only dead ringer about my true status. My passport still has my last name on it, I sign with my old signature and I’m still called “miss” by some people. Good *grin*

Well, I do have to remind myself over and over that I’m no longer single (gasp!) and when paranoia hits me, I remind J about that too *another grin*

Probably the reason why I’m finding it a little hard to realize that I’m a wifey already is because at the end of the day, J still goes to his home and me in mine :) We decided on this arrangement at least until after our bigger wedding that’s happening pretty soon. 

Tell you what? I kinda like it. I like this. I’m still not obligated to wake early and cook. I’m still not doing his laundry (relief!!!!!!!!) and I’m still off-limits to some other wifey stuff
