Waiting

Ask anybody and they’ll tell you the same.

The toughest thing to do is to WAIT.

But then…

“When I was waiting quietly for the Lord, His heart was turned to me, and He gave ear to my cry.” Psalms 40:1

And this is the ONLY thing that gives me hope– that the Lord whose Word and promises I trust– shall hear my cry…

Happy New Year

2009–

God is the only one who can give the kind of love that I’m looking for.

No one, nobody can love me the way He does.

In His eyes, I’m special. I’m loved. I’m cared for.

Thank you Jesus for loving me the way you do.

Extraordinarily Ordinary

There are days when I feel like everything’s too good to be true. Like today.

Nothing special really happened. I have no extraordinary story to tell. But to know that I’m still breathing is enough for me to remember that there’s so much to hope for. I admit that there were days (and there still would be) when I forget how special my life is just because I think it’s ordinary. God has blessed me so much I feel like a rotten spoiled brat before Him.

I used to dream of a quiet, simple life–and I have it now. I can feel Him moving in every little details of my life and I’m very much willing to let him take care of everything. I’m in perfect hands. After all, it was pierced and nailed specially for me. :)

First Day High

I survived it. I made it. I was sort of dreading for this day to come because of the “first day” fright everybody at school was talking about. But know what? It wasn’t that bad. This day turned okay. But what really made my day was Pastor Dale’s visit with a bag of goodies for me. And when I say goodies..I really mean goodies! Like Mang Tomas (which is weird because I was just craving for that just this afternoon!), Rufina patis (haha!), Silverswan soy sauce (I never like adobo here because they cook with local soy sauce), and the heavensent of all—guisado bagoong!!!!!! My friend and I were just talking about it yesterday! Really the best way to end the day..:)
