Dedication
December 23, 2008
Most authors dedicate their books to someone or something. My blog (which usually summarizes my life) should have one, too. Here’s mine.
My husband, Jet. You’re my lover, best friend, and worst critique. You’re always around even in those times when I was hoping you were not
You love me, argue with me, and take care of me like no man ever would. I’ll grow old knowing what love is because of you.
My Dad and Mom. You’re the two strongest persons I have ever known. I’m breathing and living because of you. I created dreams because I wanted to make you happy. And I’m living that dream now because YOU made me happy. I’ll spend every single day of my life with you making sure that I’m making you proud.
Kuya and Ate. Life isn’t fun without the two of you. You sometimes made my life hell when we were little but you’re now making my life heavenly-like. You’re the most supportive siblings I have ever known. In a weird and funny way
Kuya Eman and Ate Eve. You made my siblings happy. And my family bigger.
Kai and Bugel. Exasperation and enjoyment. You’re both my babies.
Ivy. You gave me 25 years of friendship. You saw me through my best and worst. You picked our friendship when it almost ended and brought me back on the right track. You’re my super girl. So even when we’re both on the other side of the planet, I know we can always pick our friendship up exactly where we left it. Miss you girl.
Kuya Mike. I was saved because of you.
Kuya Jonathan. My life with the Lord stayed on track after Kuya Mike left because of you. You influenced my biblical philosophies and encouraged my kind of p&w music.
Walter and Vanessa. My next-door neighbors who’s always willing to share. You shared your passions, your friendship, your jokes, your aluminum foils, your neck ties and your time. You encouraged me when I’m in doubt. You stick around when I’m bored. Four months of knowing you is enough to say I found lifetime friends.
Ate Elvie, Cris, Reina. My clowns and shopping buddies. Our late night Starbucks keep me warm and deuretic
You all are my wonder girls. You make my nights harder to sleep but you make my mornings better knowing that every time I wake up, you’re just around.
Jo, Janette, Janice. “My housemates”. You taught me things I never thought I’d learn. Janette, you inspire me to cook. Jo, you inspire me to become a wonderful mom someday, and Janice, you inspire me to become myself. We argue but we make up. For me, we’ve got the warmest house because we all made it a home..
Pastor Nelio and Tita Lyda. My surrogate parents. You were always willing to give and to help. You made my “independent living” more secure.
And to my Jesus to whom ALL of me became possible. You’re simply awesome and I’ll live through eternity because of you!
A blessed Christmas and New Year to y’all!
